Memorial
James W. Grade, 65, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away at his home, Tuesday, May 05, 2015. Memorial Service will be held at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, at 12pm on Saturday May 09, 2015. Visitation for Jim will be two hours before the service at the Chapel.
Jim was born March 28, 1950 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Wayne and Nellie Grade. The family moved to Cedar Rapids in 1957. He graduated from Jefferson HS in 1968 and worked numerous factory jobs throughout his life with the most recent being Amana Refrigeration.
Survivors include his mother, son Jesse (Lenae) Grade and grandkids Connor, Chase, Sydney, and Saxton of Ely, sister Nancy (Bob) Russman of Swisher, brother Ron (Patricia) Grade of Las Vegas, Brother In-Law, Bob (Sue) Northrup of Cedar Rapids, several cousins, nieces, nephews and pets Maxmillion and Frankie.
He was preceded in death by his father, sister Gina, nephew Dustin, ex-wife Pat, and his beloved pets Heineken and Simon.
Jim had a great sense of humor and was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching the Hawkeyes and Packers. He will be missed by all those that were close to him.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
