Bernice E. Vaughn, 93, a resident of the Meth-Wick Community died there on Friday May 29, 2015. Services at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. Janice Springer will officatie. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 6 PM on Monday.

Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Judy (Dennis) Kimm of Cedar Rapids; a son David Ray and a grandson Mark (Cynthia) Kimm all of Westminster, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister Leona Kenner.

Bernice was born on October 10, 1921 in Poweshiek County, Iowa the daughter of John and Agnes Peterzalek Benda. She married Ray Thomas Vaughn on July 29, 1941 in Clinton. Ray passed away in 2012.
Bernice worked at Killian’s in the children’s dept. for over 15 years retiring in 1983. She was a faithful member of the 1st Congregational Church of Christ where she was a Sunday school teacher, a Deacon, and active in their Quilt Guild. She was also and a member of the Golden K. Kiwanis.
