Wilbert Asher age 91 died Sunday March 15, 2015 at the Marengo Memorial Hospital in Marengo, Iowa.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday March 18, 2015 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Pastor Tim Endecott will officiate at the service. Visitation will be 4 to 7 on Tuesday March 17, 2015 at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Surviving are his children Henry (Sue) of Ladora, IA, Bonnie Asher of Missouri; 3 grandchildren Heather (Rob) Horton, David Farris and Jason (Sarah) Asher; 6 great-grandchildren Dawson, Brayden, Joshua, Isabella, Wyatt and Boone; 4 sisters Martha Lou, Genetta, Geneva and Doris; He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Esther, 2 brothers James and Jackie;  a sister Rosa Lee. 

Wilbert was born December 19, 1923 in Knoble, Arkansas. He was the son of Millard and Iva Bowers Asher. He served in the United States Army in WWII as a Cook stationed in Guam. On May 5, 1944 Wilbert and Esther Eubanks were united in marriage in Paragould, Arkansas. Wilbert purchased C & L Drywall were he continued to serve customers for 39 years. 

Wilbert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to him.
