Ralph L. Nedrow, 88, of Cedar Rapids died Monday March 30, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Memorial services with military rites at 11:00 AM on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday.
Survivor include his wife Dolores, a son Logan of Cedar Rapids and a sister Mary Cosby of Burlington. He is also survived by two grandchildren Kamron and Haylee. He was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.
Ralph was born on October 26, 1926 in Pittsburg, Iowa the son of Lewis and Carrie Channel. He married Dolores Rammelsberg on April 2, 1960 in Vinton.
Ralph was a truck mechanic and worked for companies in Linn County, retiring in 1988.
He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Am Vets, and volunteered at the Midwest Central Railroad. Ralph proudly served in the Army, Air Force and Navy in both WWII and the Korean War. He enjoyed coin collecting, fishing and the time spent with his many friends and beloved family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
