James E. Lehmkuhl, 86, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his home.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.  Burial will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites provided by the Marines Corp. League.

James Edward Lehmkuhl was born on April 15, 1928 to Edward and Grace Jacobson Lehmkuhl in St. Olaf, Iowa.  He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Cedar Rapids in 1946.  James proudly served in the US Navy.  He was united in marriage to Agnes Wise on October 18, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  James worked as a Lead in the shipping department at Lattner Manufacturing for 43 years and also worked a 2nd part-time job doing custodial work at Dental Prosthetic Services for 15 years and the same at other assorted places for 10 previous years. 

Survivors include his wife, Agnes; children, Marlys (Ed) Dailey, Thomas (Diane) Lehmkuhl, Paul (Michelle) Lehmkuhl, and Carl Lehmkuhl all of Cedar Rapids; sister, EJane (Paul) Jones of Cedar rapids; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
