Memorial

Charles H. Steffes, 88, of Marion, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015.

Funeral Service: 3:00 pm Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with Certified Celebrant Julie Freese officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm Friday at the chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Joan; children, Susan Clark of Marion, Charles (Janet) of Alburnett and Dennis (Vicki) of Marion; 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Johnson; half-brother, Raymond Reese.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Margie, Bernadette and Annie, brothers, Andrew and Clem.

Charles Henry Steffes was born September 15, 1926 in Ft. Atkinson, Iowa the son of Clem and Anna (Kipp) Steffes. On August 19, 1951 he married Joan C. Quandahl in Spring Grove, MN. Charles was a heavy equipment operator for many years. He enjoyed visiting friends, playing cards and especially gambling at the casino in Tama.
