Patricia Florence Gardner, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died at home Thursday July 30, 2015, surrounded by family. Services: 11:00 a.m. Monday August 3, 2015 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be on Sunday August 2, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Elks Club following the services.
Patricia was born June 14, 1942 in, Cedar Rapids, Iowa the daughter of William and Florence (Svoboda) Haywood. She married Ronald R. Gardner on August 24, 1985. Patricia was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the Elks Club. Patricia enjoyed cross stitching, going to craft shows, and making holiday candy, but most importantly spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Ronald R. Gardner, her children; Michelle (Randy) Potts, Bill Jellison, Sally Miller, her sisters-in-law, Vione Beck, Linda (Dan) Tyo, Barb Hosford, and a brother-in-law, Marv (Cheryl) Gardner. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Florence Haywood, a brother, Richard Beck and father and mother-in-law, Howard and Belle Gardner.
Any memorial donations may be made to the Elks Club in honor of Patricia’s name.
