Paul R. Valliere, 88, a resident of Northbrook Manor died Sunday January 18, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM on Thursday at All Saints Catholic Church. Rev. John R. Flaherty will officiate. Burial with military rites at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday where there will be a vigil service at 5:00 PM and at the Church after 9:30 AM on Thursday.

Survivors include his wife, Frances, two sons Michael (Marla) of Cedar Rapids, William (Janet) of Tempe, Arizona, a daughter Paula (Rick Wyrick) Valliere of Nashport, Ohio; and a brother Richard (Liz) of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Nicole (Kyle) Kinning, Michele (Josh) Wilske, Mary (Joel) Schuldt and 6 great grandchildren. 

Paul was born on April 20, 1926 in Cedar Rapids the son of Clarence and Mary Pospishil Valliere. He married Frances A. Doyle on April 7, 1951 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Paul was an engineer at Rockwell Collins for over 28 years retiring in 1987. 
He was a faithful member of All Saints Catholic Church, the Officers Reserve Association, the Knight of Columbus and proudly served in the Army during WWII where he retired in 1982 as a Colonel. 

Paul enjoyed traveling with Fran throughout the United States, building and flying model airplanes, playing Golf and especially the time spent with his friends and beloved family. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
