Lois Lorraine Oliphant, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday January 16, 2015. Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar memorial Chapel of Memories by Pastor Bonnie Koeppen of St. Marks United Methodist Church.  A visitation will be held today from 4-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons, Gary (Marguerite) Oliphant of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dennis (Colleen) Oliphant of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Dale (Lisa) Oliphant of Pearland, Texas, her granddaughter, Carrie (Michael) Enos of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and her great grandchildren; Maria, Morgan, Christian and Mya Enos all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Vance C. Oliphant and her twin sister, LaRee Waugh.        

Lois was born September 16, 1927 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Wilson) Phelps. She married Vance C. Oliphant on November 14, 1948 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Lois was a sales clerk for Younkers Department Store.  She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, art and telling great jokes. 

A memorial fund has been established by the family for St. Luke’s Hospice.
