Kenneth “Fuzzy” Cornwell, age 64, died peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at home after a long battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Interment will take place at the Quasqueton Cemetery.

Ken was born June 10, 1950 in Cedar Rapids to Richard “Dick” and Doris (Staub) Cornwell.  He was united in marriage to Vicki Aldrich on August 26, 1978 in Cedar Rapids.

Ken was a jack of all trades.  He enjoyed conversations with buddies at his local coffee club; especially topics of disdain for local government.  He was part of CB club, and enjoyed tinkering.  He had a knack for coming up with nicknames for every person he met.  With a tender heart and a personality that did not acknowledge political correctness, he left anyone he met with an unforgettable impression.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; four sons: Jamie Dudley of Fairfax; Travis (Mindy) Cornwell of Clinton, Illinois; Casey (Andrea) Cornwell of Marion; and Corey Cornwell of Marion; eight grandchildren: Terrence and Alyvia Dudley; Kaylee, Mitchell, and Grayson Cornwell; Kaleb and Emery Cornwell; and Matthew Cornwell; three sisters: Mary Wyrick of Cedar Rapids; Joanne (Earl) Gosselin of Florida; and Lois Vent (Max) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; many nieces and a nephew; as well as his cat Annie, who provided comfort throughout his illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A memorial in Ken’s honor has been established.
