Memorial

Frederick Junior Gorsh, 77, of Cedar Rapids died Wednesday August 19, 2015 at his home of natural causes. Private family services will be held at a later date. Inurnment at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and after 4:00 PM at Clancy’s Keg on Saturday.

Survivors include three daughters, Kim Gorsh and Debbie (Dale) Dilts all of Cedar Rapids, and Kellee (Bob Netolicky) of Arizona; a brother Kenny of Cedar Rapids and a sister Sandy Potter of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by three grandchildren Shelby, Morgan and Brandon. He was preceded in death by his former wife Joanne, a brother Gene and two sisters Darlene and Sheila. 

Fred was born on August 15, 1938 in Iowa City the son of Frederick and Blanche Pollet Gorsh. He married Joanne M. Topinka on September 26, 1959 in Cedar Rapids. They were later divorced and remained good friends. 

Fred was a carpet installer for over 40 years and worked for several local businesses. He enjoyed NASCAR, going to the casino and the time spent with his beloved family and many many friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
