Elizabeth “Beth” Glass, 95, of Marion, passed away August 4, 2015, at Cottage Grove Care Center in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 7, 2015, at 12pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Marion, IA. Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2015, from 4pm to 7pm at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. A private burial will take place prior to the funeral service.
Beth was born October 9, 1919, in Coggon, IA to Glen and Nina (Timpson) Ellis. She graduated from Coggon High School and the University of Dubuque. Beth was united in marriage to George A. Glass on September 5, 1942, in Dubuque, IA.
She is survived by her two children Barb (Bill) Ritter of Marion, IA and Bob (Sara) Glass of New Albany, IN; four grandchildren, Tracie Carson, Corey (Jen) Ritter, Sarah (Travis) Offerman, and Laura (Brandon) Dabb; and four great-grandchildren, Bailey, Caitlyn, Matthew, and Elliot.
Beth was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents; granddaughter, Jamie Ritter; brother, Keith (Margaret) Ellis; and sister, Cleo (Bernard) Carson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Mercy.
