Memorial

Darleen Rose (Comried) Jurgemeyer, 89, went to Heaven Sunday August 16, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services, 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. There will be a visitation from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday August 19, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home at 4200 1st Avenue NE. A Private inurnment service will be held Monday August 24, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include seven daughters; Sue Heath of Cedar Rapids, Carol Kauffman of Dexter, Michigan, Diane Neal of Cedar Rapids, Pat Ator of Marion, Liz ( Marc) Nelson of Cedar Rapids, Vicki (Tarry)Thien of Mechanicsville, Donna (Paul Sr.) Neal of Cedar Rapids, also numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Darleen was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Mary Comried and three brothers, Raymond, Arlie and Glen. 

Darleen was born September 7, 1925 and was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids. She took great pride being employed at St. Luke’s Hospital as a Physical Therapy Technician for several years until she retired. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting dolls and music boxes, angels, cardinals, fishing, crossword puzzles, bingo and Yahtzee, music, dancing and garage saling. Most of all spending time with her family.
