Memorial

Mark Edwards, 50, of Cedar Rapids Iowa, died Sunday morning September 14, 2014 at Unity Point following short illness.  

Friends are invited to the Cedar Memorial Park Family Center and Library at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2014 to gather with friends to remember Mark.

After relocating from Florida, Mark worked in the Cedar Rapids area as a laborer on construction, landscape maintenance and gardening.  Mark possessed an endearing childlike sweetness and vulnerability.  No one tried harder to do a job well and appreciated a kind word of praise more than Mark.  Watching him orchestrate the planting of a flower bed, listening as he talked and argued with himself in the process and the obvious joy he felt in nature was a lasting gift Mark left us.
