Pauline M. McDonald, 87, of Hiawatha passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the St. Lukes Hospice Unit at St. Lukes Hospital after a lengthy illness. Services at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Private family burial at the Green Center Cemetery in Morley. Per Pauline’s request there will be no visitation. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her four daughters, Paula (Emil) Krepcik of Anamosa, Mary Jo (Bill) Barthelmes of Central City , Judy (James) Ringwald and Bonnie McDonald all of Hiawatha. She is also survived by six grandchildren Jill, Jason, Dena, Joe, Jake, Jena and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and five sisters.
Pauline was born on February 5, 1927 in Olin the daughter of Harry and Pauline Von Roden Norton. She married Willard L. McDonald on October 23, 1945 in Cedar Rapids. Willard passed away in 1980. 

Pauline was a homemaker and enjoyed working crossword puzzles, cooking, baking and her cats. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
