Frances “Sally” Pugh of Columbus Junction died Friday, October 10, 2014 at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction.   Born October 22, 1922 in Morning Sun, Iowa the daughter of Estella Salladay.  On September 24, 1949 she married Richard Pugh in Indianola, Iowa.  He died April 10, 2009.

Sally graduated from Morning Sun high school and the Burlington Beauty academy.  She operated a beauty shop out of her home for over 35 years before retiring in 1983.  Sally was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Columbus Junction, Presbyterian Women Kitchen Band, Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary.  

Sally enjoyed her bridge club, aquacise classes at the Washington YMCA and visiting with friends.  Her greatest joy was her family and spending time with her grandchildren.    
Survivors include three sons, Mike Pugh (Lisa), Dave Pugh (Candy), and Mark Pugh (Pam) all of Columbus Junction, six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.  Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her mother and one brother.

Services will be held at the Presbyterian Church in Columbus Junction at 10:30 a.m.  on Monday, October 13, 2014.  Family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. before the funeral.  Burial will be in Columbus City cemetery.    

A memorial is being established for the Presbyterian Church in Columbus Junction.
