Joseph J. Dahm, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa died Sunday November 23, 2014. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church by Father Phil Thompson. There will be a private Inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Jeanne, his children; Valerie Stinson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jeff (Caryn) Dahm of Bettendorf, Iowa, Marshall (Tiffany) Chamberlain of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Brian (Stephanie) Dahm of Decatur, Illinois, his siblings, Mary Johnson of Early, Iowa, Ruth Boes of Columbia, Missouri, Helen Synder of Lake City, Iowa and Bonnie Fonseca of Aurora, Colorado, his grandchildren; Robert and Stephen Stinson, Mara, Westin, Nyah and Ashlyn Chamberlain, Sophia and Anton Dahm. He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Robert Stinson and a brother, Leo Dahm.
Joe was born November 18, 1938 in Early, Iowa, the son of Leo and Helen (Yender) Dahm. He married Jeanne (West) Chamberlain on June 11, 1982 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Joe retired from Rockwell Collins after 37 years of service as an Electrical Engineer. He was a Charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He worked with Habitat for Humanity and enjoyed woodworking, bowling and spending time with his family. Instead of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
