Helen L. Bruner, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel.  Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Helen was born December 4, 1921 in Cedar Rapids to Albert and Helen (Holmes) Mastin.  She married Harold N. Bruner in Iowa City.  Helen worked for fourteen years as a purchasing agent at Collins Radio.

Helen was baptized Methodist by her uncle, Pastor Fred Mastin.  As a girl, she was a very talented athlete, excelling in gymnastics, and a straight-A student.  She carried her love of sports over into her adult life.  She was an avid golfer, and loved Iowa Football (Go Hawkeyes!).  She also enjoyed attending her grandkids’ sporting events.

She is survived by two daughters: Nancy Snetzler and Patricia Reindl and daughter-in-law Paula Bruner, all of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren: Joel (Kim) Snetzler, Jeff (Denise) Fischer, Holly (Matt) Moppin, Heidi (Charles) Brown, and Shawn (Tammy) Bruner; ten great-grandchildren: Joshua and John Snetzler, Ashley and Brandon Brown, Ronnie and Kristen Moppin, Jacob, Alysha, Macen, and Cody Bruner; and one great-great grandson, Braidyn Bruner.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 2003; her parents; son Gerald Bruner; grandson Mark Bruner; son-in-law Jim Snetzler; two sisters: Ruthie and Alberta; and a brother, Al.
