Donna “Jean” Thomas, 93, of Marion, entered Heaven’s gates Saturday November 15, 2014 surrounded by family. 

Born Donna Jean Bolenbaugh on July 20, 1921 daughter of the late John and Clara Bolenbaugh of Vinton.  She married the love of her life Clair Thomas December 9, 1942 in Danville, IL.  

She is survived by a son, John (Julli) of Marion; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister Virginia (John) Krabbenhoft of La Grange, Kentucky.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clair; daughter Susan; son-in-law Jerry Williams; and granddaughter Rebekah Williams.

She faithfully served her family as a wife, loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered by many as a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that would await her. 

Memorial services will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Living Hope Wesleyan Church, 1500 Boyson Road NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

A memorial fund has been established to the Living Hope Wesleyan Church Building Fund.  The family would like to thank the staff at Linn Manor for their love and care bestowed upon Jean.
