Arnold G. “Arnie B.” Brockman, 76, of Cedar Rapids died Wednesday June 25, 2014 at the Hiawatha Care Center after an extended illness. Services at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday.

Survivors include a daughter  Karla (Andy) Anton of Cedar Rapids; four brothers Gary (Linda) of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Ron of Rochester, Minnesota, Roger (Mary) and Rick (Margy) all of Tomah, Wisconsin; two sisters Patty (Neal) Astle and Lisa Smrs both of Wisconsin and too many friends to name. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Greg. 

Arnie was born on August 10, 1937 in Sauk County, Wisconsin the son of Arnold and Audrey Brockman. He married Rose Kneeland on September 10. 1960 in Wisconsin. They were later divorced. Arnie worked at Life Investors and retired from there after more than 40 years of service.

Arnie enjoyed watching Hawkeye Women’s Basketball and Hawkeye Football. He was an avid outdoorsman; fishing, hunting, biking, and golf. He was a member of the 601 Club, the Wild Bunch and proudly served in the Navy. Arnie was a people person who enjoyed the company of his many friends and beloved family. His memories will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
