Wanda Jean Schorg, 72, of Cedar Rapids died Thursday, July 03, 2014 at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Wanda is survived by her husband Robert Schorg of Cedar Rapids; 2 daughters, Paula (Lonnie) Louvar of Miles, Iowa; and Vickie (Doug) Linman of Author, Iowa; 4 stepchildren, Linda Schorg; Kathy Cook (Richard Sr.); Jean Schnell; Rob Schorg (Dawn)all of Cedar Rapids. 15 grandchildren, Zach, Eli, Stefanie, Leann, BJ, Nissa, Mindi, Gina, Jerome, Jeremy, Richard Jr. Blake, Nathan, Brittany and Trevor; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.
Wanda was born December 5, 1941 to Ervin and Fern Hartwell Wetzel in Algona, Iowa. On August 25, 1974 she married Robert Schorg in Nashua, Iowa. She enjoyed traveling the United States, Canada and Mexico with her husband. But her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her family. Wanda was a loving and caring person.
