Sarajane “Sara” M. Fenoglio, 71, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th from 4 to 7 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Sarajane “Sara” Margaret Fenoglio was born on March 12, 1943 to Selmer and Sylvia Hammer in Veblen, South Dakota. She was united in marriage to Emil “Jim” Fenoglio on June 23, 1973 in Cedar Rapids. Sara enjoyed camping and made many friends at Shady Hills and Hidden Lake Campgrounds. She enjoyed working on crafts and craft shows. Sara worked for the Cedar Rapids school district for 15 years and enjoyed the kids. She was a member of the Women’s Legion Auxiliary and Kenwood Park UMC. Sara loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Twila Duling of Cookeville, TN; Lila (Jim) Takes of Austelle, GA; Cary (Lisa) Berg of Clear Water, FL; Barry (Brenda) Berg of Cedar Rapids; Mary King of San Jose, CA; Jason (Jennifer) Fenoglio of Cedar Rapids; Jamie (Angela) Fenoglio of Marion; sister Sonja (Red) Fostvedt of Olivia, MN; brother in law Louis Pearson of Marion; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Alyce Reiff and Della Pearson and infant daughter Crystal Berg.
