Lucille Irene (Schatzle) Estling, 95, of Omaha, NE, formerly of Coggon, died Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014 at The Waterford at Miracle Hills Assisted Living in Omaha.  Lucille was born December 22nd, 1918 to Albert and Bessie Barker Schatzle near Coggon, Iowa.  She married Paul Estling on December 4th, 1940 in Coggon. He preceded her in death November 20th, 1983.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.  She and her husband lived and worked together on a farm near Coggon for 43 year before retiring and moving to Coggon in 1983.  Lucille attended Nugent Grove Country School and graduated from Coggon High School in 1936.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda (David) Hinton of Omaha; two grandchildren, Brad (Christie) Hinton and Sherry (Stacy) Brand, all of Omaha; five great grandchildren, Paul, Drew, and Molly Hinton, Sydney Shotbolt and Natalie Brand, and two step great grandchildren, Haiden and Connor Brand; three sisters, Mae Crosby of Marion, Martha (John) Morris of Center Point, and Mary (Norm) Strief of Marion;  one brother, Eugene Schatzle of Kansas City; sister-in-law, Pauline Schatzle; and many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lester Schatzle of Alburnett.

Lucille enjoyed her flowers, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles and Bingo (especially at Rolling Hills Ranch in Omaha where she resided for six years before moving to assisted living at Waterford.) Over the years, she sewed numerous quilts for her family and friends.  She was a life time member of the Christian Church in Coggon, before moving to Marion in 1992 where she joined the Marion Christian Church.  In Omaha, she attended St Luke Methodist Church with Linda and David.

Services:  2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Visitation will be from 1-2 pm at the chapel on Saturday. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
