Elizabeth Marie (Orton) Kasner, 85, formally of Cedar Rapids passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014 from a sudden illness. She was born September 10, 1928 in Cedar Rapids, IA to Viola Frances Nevins and James R. Orton. She married William M. Kasner May 3, 1947. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1987.
Her survivors include daughter, Pamela (Ron) Fuller of Des Moines; son, William J. Kasner of Cedar Rapids, and daughter, Penny (John) Barry of Decatur, IL. She is also survived by a sister, Pat Carder of Cedar Rapids, a brother, James (Darlene) Orton of Salinas, KS, a sister-in-law Barb Orton, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by three children; Jerry Allen Kasner, Patricia Ann Kasner, Mary Ann Domine, a brother William Orton and son-in-law Lauren E. Harman.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday July 28, 2014 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
