Memorial
Betty L. Scott, 89, of Kansas City, MO formerly of Cedar Rapids, IA went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, Missouri. A memorial will be held on Monday, July 14th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a brief service at 12:30 at First Church of the Nazarene located at 3113 First Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404. Her final resting place will be with her husband at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Betty Lee Scott was born on September 5, 1924 to Leo and Blanche Meyers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Joseph G. Scott on September 30, 1972 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Warner of Kansas City, MO and Mary Cuhel of Galena, OH; step son, Steve Scott of Marion; grandchildren, Angela Fry, CJ Warner, Andrew Cuhel, Sandi Jones, Amanda Millhollin, Ashley Markisohn; and six great grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her parents; a twin brother, Leo “Bud” Meyers, Jr.; a sister, Virginia “Billie” Meyers; and a grandson, Michael West.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to the First Church of the Nazarene.
