Memorial

Mary Gorsh, 90, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, December 20, 2014, in Cedar Rapids.  Family will greet friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Mary’s honor. Interment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
  
Mary Gorsh was born on January, 25, 1924 to Edward and Viola (Kurth) Mahan in Williamsburg, IA.  She was united in marriage to Alvah Eugene Gorsh on September 8, 1942 in Lancaster, MO.  He preceded her in death in 1970.  She was a member of CR Grace Church.  Mary loved reading her bible and spending time with her family.  Mary will always be remembered for being a loving and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. 

Mary is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sue Gorsh; son-in-law, Gene Clark both of Cedar Rapids; 4 grandchildren, Joe Clark of Cedar Rapids; Kelli (Matt) Elliott of Spring Hill, TN; Hollie (Hugh) Jackson of Lynchburg, VA; and Kyle (Rebecca) Gorsh of Ankeny, IA; and her great grandchildren, Mayah, Mason, Ivy, Madison, Lucy and McClain.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a daughter, Nancy Clark; a son James E. Gorsh, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
