Memorial

Marie A. Larsen Crock, 92, of Mechanicsville died peacefully Saturday December 27, 2014 at the Mechanicsville Nursing and Rehab.Center. Services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday.

Survivors include a son Craig ( Lorraine ) Larsen of Cedar Rapids; three daughters Dianne Larsen and her husband Mike Gorton of Cedar Falls, Peggy (Eugene) Kellner of Ft. Worth, Texas, Susan Larsen and her husband Alan Lage of Oxford; and one sister JoAnn Emerson of California. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 step-children. She was preceded in death by her two husbands. 

Marie was born on June 28, 1922 in Jewell, the daughter of Lawrence and Lena (Oswald) Jacobson. 

She married Earl “Doc” Larsen on June 3, 1945 in Jewell. Earl passed away in 1996. She later married Edward Crock on August 30, 1997 in Mechanicsville. Ed passed away in 2007.

Marie taught school for several years and later worked in telecommunications at the University of Iowa, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Seeds of Faith Lutheran Church in Lisbon and the Red Hatters.

Marie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be given to the Mechanicsville Senior Center or to the Seeds of Faith Lutheran Church.
