Margaret B. “Peggy” Mogensen, age 76, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held Friday December 12, 2014 at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM. Rev. Paul and Gayle Wilcox will officiate at the service. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Peggy was born September 28, 1938 in Keosauqua, Iowa to Ernest R. and Addie Marie (Black) Miller. She was united in marriage to Clarence O. “Mogie” Mogensen in June of 1956 in Des Moines. Peggy retired as Activity Director for Methwick.
Peggy was an avid bowler and gardener.
She is survived by three children: Mindy M. (Pat) Lesmeister of Cedar Rapids; Cindy (Mike) Brady of Altoona and Randy W. (Kim) Mogensen of Cedar Rapids; two step-daughters: Sherri Pedersen and Christine Rundle both of Des Moines; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister: Susan (Rick) Holt of Taneyville, Missouri; and brother Richard E. (Margaret) Miller and companion, Arther “Joe” Steinke.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mogie, in 2004 and a sister Maxine L. Shellburg.
