Memorial
Helen M. Santon, 92, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, formerly of Cedar Rapids died Tuesday December 9, 2014 at the home of her daughter after a brief illness. A family graveside service is at 1:00 PM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until service time on Monday.
Survivors include three daughters Margot (Derald) Hafner of Raleigh, North Carolina, Kristie (Jon) Smith of Post Falls, Idaho, and Diana (Randall) Meyer of Grand Rapids, Michigan; one son Eric (Sue) of Kansas City, Missouri; and a sister Martha Gard of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a niece Polly (Bob) Whitmore and a nephew Jeffrey Gard. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Helen was born on February 13, 1922 in Cedar Rapids. She married Harold L. Santon on September 20, 1943 in Cedar Rapids. Harold passed away in 2006.
