Deborah Ann Muskat, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday December 15, 2014. Memorial services: 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Calvin Sinclair Presbyterian Church, where a visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. The Rev. Will Jackson will officiate.  Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Deb was born to George Donald and Margaret Angeline Wilson Graver Sr. on September 5, 1923 in Lisbon, Iowa. She graduated from Lisbon High School in 1940 and attended the University of Iowa. She was married to Charles Hendrickson Jr. from 1945-1956. On March 11, 1961 she married Lawrence Muskat. 

Deb is survived by her sister, Sherry Wilson of Black River Falls, Wisconsin, special sister, Diane Henthorn of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, stepdaughter, Kelly (Tom) Harold of New Carlisle, Ohio, two nieces; Margaret (Otis) Watson of Port Huron, Michigan and Deborah ( George) Mears of Delphi, Indiana, a nephew, Jacob (Sue) DeKoyer of Batavia, Illinois, sisters-in-law, Sister Mary Monica Muskat, Zita Pretasky, Rose (Dave) Marcou, Kathy (Cal) Grise and brother-in-law, Raymond Muskat. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, her sister, Charlotte DeKoyer and a brother, George Donald Graver Jr.

Deb was a member of the Soroptmist International of Cedar Rapids and Marion, The Arc of East Central Iowa, The FFLO Club and Calvin Sinclair Presbyterian Church. Deb worked for Cities Services Acme Super Service in Cedar Rapids for 20 years. She worked 5 years for the Cedar Rapids Recreation Center and was the owner of “Debbie’s Breezeway Shoppe” (hand crafted specialties) in the Roundhouse City Market. She enjoyed fishing in Lake Michigan and Canada. Deb was the recipient for the Advocate of the year in 1996 and Volunteer of the year in 2005 from the Arc of East central Iowa. She was honored in 2001 for her 25 years of volunteer service from the Abbe Center and was inducted into the Abbe Center Hall of Fame in 2002.
