Memorial
Ruth Loretta Noble, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Manor Care Nursing Home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service, beginning at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ruth’s name may be directed to the family.
Ruth Loretta Noble was born April 1, 1929 in Hopkinton, Iowa to Arthur and Rachel (Robbins) Sunderlin. She was united in marriage to Robert Noble on June 7, 1975 in Delhi, Iowa. Ruth worked as a shipping clerk for Rockwell Collins until her retirement in 1990 after 25 years of service. Ruth enjoyed sewing and crocheting, especially doilies. She loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robert Noble; three children, Amy (Jim) Ellis, Rachel Bushkofsky and Russell Ellison; a sister Esther Jones and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Georgia Whitlock; seven siblings Charles, Harold, Geraldine, Frank, Louis, Edith and Glendola.
