Memorial
Glenn O. Schirm, 93, a resident of the Keystone Care Center in Keystone died there on Thursday August 21, 2014 after a long illness. Per Glenn’s request there will be no public service or visitation. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn (Stan) Davis of Huntington Beach, California, Diane (Pete) Herson of Sachse, Texas and a son Leslie (Lori) of Rockford, Illinois. He is also survived by three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son Dennis and a sister.
Glenn was born on September 10, 1920 in Newhall the son of Otto and Marie Ernst Schirm. He married Marion L. Wehrhan on April 9, 1944 in Newhall. Marion passed away in 1995.Glenn worked a Wilson & Co. for several years and was also a farmer and the owner and operator of a motel/ café in Ladora and Newhall.
Glenn enjoyed playing softball in his younger years, wood working and especially the time spent with his beloved family and many friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
