Elizabeth J. Van Sickle, 88, a resident to Summit Pointe Senior Living died there on Saturday April 5, 2014 after a long illness. Per Liz’s request there will be no service or visitation. Inurnment in the Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum Columbarium. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband Merle “Van” of Marion and a son, Gene (Rita) of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by a son Jon and a sister Mildred.
Liz was born on April 7, 1925 in Greeley the daughter of George and Gladys Mittelstadt Reed. She married Merle “Van” Van Sickle on June 5, 1943 in Greeley. Liz was a homemaker and a member of the Elks club. She was a wonderful wife and mother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be given to the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
