I have worked down the hall from Pete for over 20 years in the Skogman accounting office. We have had many opportunities to greet each other and share a few stories. I'll miss you, Pete. My sympathy to the Halm family.

Dorothy and I will always remember the good times we had with you and Pete when you lived in Earlville. He was a good teacher and a great friend.

My condolences to Pete's family.

'Petey' was one of the very favorite Jr. high teachers while he was here. His classes were always very interesting, to say the least.

Mr. Halm was our Jr High basketball coach and teacher. He made us run every practice throughout the season and we beat teams that we had no right beating because they ran out of gas and we could keep running. Not only a good basketball strategy but a good life lesson for us all. My condolences to you and your family.

My condolences to Pete's family. I worked in the same office with Pete for many years. I will miss his sense of humor and our conversations about sports, politics and business. I had the utmost respect for his professionalism.

Mary Ann and family - please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. I have many fond memories of the laughs my dad, Jim Novy, and Pete shared, especially when our families got together for Iowa sporting events. Even though I was little more than an adolescent at the time, Pete always treated me with kindness and respect. May God surround you with His comfort and love as you mourn and remember Pete.

My condolences,

-Kary Klismet

Pete, Jim Novy and I had some great times playing golf, going to Iowa games, went fishing in Canada once, and heaven knows what else in Cedar Rapids and beyond. We took quite a few road trips, including one memorable one to an Iowa game in Minneapolis!

What great fun we had. Pete was such a great guy. I also want to send my condolences to Mary Ann and the entire Halm family. Pete's loss will be felt by many.
