Susan Russell

Assistant Controller

Susan leads the Business Services Department overseeing the daily processing of funeral contracts, payments, accounts payables and other financial transactions. Her warm nature and extensive experience with insurance and accounting has made Susan a very welcome addition to Cedar Memorial.

Susan received her BS in Accounting from Indiana University, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Originally from Indianapolis, IN, Susan and her family made Cedar Rapids their home in 2008. She spent 14 years as an auditor and Accounting Manager in the insurance industry before taking some time off to raise her two children. Susan later rejoined the workforce as the Director of Finance at a small non-profit organization. Susan enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her husband and adult children.
